Having a child is a huge commitment, and for the safety and health of the child, we have to, as a society, ensure that people who do not wish to bear children have access to science-based sex education and contraception. In addition to access to free adoption services, we must also provide free abortion to lower-income people to allow women to terminate the pregnancy with no stigma attached. All of these measures combined are necessary to ensure we have fewer cases of neonaticide.
