I asked you what system you propose in place of PfP, and you're freaking out and accusing me of saying that you support communism. Wow, triggered much?
Reread my comment if you have trouble understanding the difference between a question and a statement.
From what I gather, you are someone who's neither designed an incentive plan nor ran a sales team. The problem with people who spout their mouth off in an area they have no practical knowledge of is they come off as off base, ignorant, and comedic.
Here's what you propose instead of the sales incentive plan, "Pay the worker/manager/executive in question an appropriate and attractive wage/salary for doing the job you need done. If he/she does the job well, look for ways to give him/her more responsibilities so that next year you will be able to pay him/her more for a more skilled/senior job. If he/she doesn't meet the performance requirements that you specified for the wage/salary, put him/her on notice that if he/she doesn't meet the performance requirement during the next period (whether year or month), you will be forced to terminate him/her."
Now in your brilliant plan, who decides if an employee is or isn't meeting the bar and how much to pay them? How is your system less prone to abuse of power, exploitation of the worker, and political maneuvers than the Sales Incentive Plan you hate so much?
You assume that I am enthusiastic about Sales Incentive Plan. I am not. I simply do not appreciate people who lambast an existing system but 1) gets the facts wrong and 2) cannot come up with a better system in its place.
Any joker on the street can complain.
