Read my comment again. I did NOT design the plan. Your statement that I, as a sales manager, designed the plan is flat out incorrect.
Your article's argument is weak; you leap from sales incentive plans having flaws (PS: do share if you know of one flawless pay plan) to sales incentive plans do not work. Do not work compared to what? What performance management system do you propose in its place?
